Mike and I have decided

Not to find out what the baby is.  Originally we weren’t going to, but Mike’s Nana had very ill health and she really wanted a great-grandson to carry on the Arthur name as Mike is the last one.  Sadly she passed away nearly 2 weeks ago.

I am (funnily enough) finding it quite exciting that we are not going to know.  I found out with all the others except Wade (because he wiggled to much)

So, I have decided to stitch Crescent Dreams (Mira) for the baby using Noreen’s green conversion. I love it and am in the process of gathering up everything at the moment.  I am also going to stitch Mira’s Moonlight Lullaby for the baby’s room   I was feeling really down about my projects so i am feeling quite excited now

I have also signed up for a UFO Round Robin with the WWRR board I think it will be quite an interesting experience.  I am thinking of sending three for Tea (Mira) or Angel of the Sea (L&L) If anyone else is interested there are still spaces left.  Click on the above link and go to UFO RR July 2007

Today I got a

great surprise!  A REAL phonecall from Maggie It was lovely to hear from her and just chat about our lives   i hope it didn’t cost you too much money Maggie!!  *hugs*

My good friend Kirsten and I have decided to have a stitching morning together once a week, I think this will be good motivation to get back into a stitching routine   I am going to teach her how to stitch on Lugana and she wants to stitch Bedtime Friends for her sweet wee daughter.  If I am having a girl I think I will stitch this as well, otherwise…. I am not sure, I might have to go and look if anyone has done it with the blue and if I still like it LOL

It was my birthday

on Tuesday and I had a lovely day   It was very relaxing  

I have just started to learn haw to make bead jewelery and so my children all gave me some beads

I took a class with a friend and this is what I made (not a good picture sorry)

My friend Kristin who  SAL with on Celtic Summer sent me this absolutly mind blowing gift!  Thank You so much Kristin it is wonderful!!  *hugs*  

Mel  also very generously sent me the pattern and the remainder of her kit for Mira’s Miss New Year’s Fairy! And it conveninetly arrived on my birthday like a birthday present

I have no stitchy update today… I’vebeen a bit slack again and seem to have lost my mojo, but I do have one MCN nearly made

I feel terrible!

I have the flu, haven’t been sick like this for ages, but I still feel 100% better than I was feeling 2 weeks ago.  I can go about normal daily activities now!

I have been looking at making my own MCN’s for the baby.  I used the old fashioned cloth for Wade and Tarissa, got a little lazy with Christian and used half and half cloth and disposibles, started off with disposibles with Elle and then discovered MCN’s and was totally converted.  I have a DIY kit coming for a couple of different types of pocket MCN’s I am really looking forward to it arriving.  It works out between a half and a third the price to make my own than to buy….. I am thinking of maybe trying to sell some on Trademe too, they seem to sell well on there   I will try making them first, but personally I see no reason why I shouldn’t be able to…. and for those of you whom I have just confused….. sorry!  MCN = Modern cloth Nappy check out the link here this is where I bought Elle’s from
