Hi everyone

sorry for the lack of a post… I had good intentions, as you can probably tell from the picture below with a lack of any info LOL

I am sick…. I have the flu and feel miserable…. and I am a LOT better than yesterday…. I think my immunity was a bit low with the combination of no sleep after work on Wednesday night cause Elle had an ear infection flare up in the night and then the long work time of fri/sat.

I had a good day today… I didn’t make the dawn parade like I normally would, but thought of our veterans often… of which my dad is one.

Mike didn’t end up working as it was raining so we went to visit his Nana and his sister Paula and her hubby and kids.

Wade returned home today and it is really nice to have him home again

As you can see below is a picture of Butterfly – Day at 110 hours. I got quite a bit of time on her but it is now time to move on. We got our scissor fob exchange info today, so I will be chucking the rotation till after we have completed those, I have never stitched a fob before, so have no idea how long it will take me to complete with my lack of stitching hours these days.

This will be my first exchange so I am a bit nervous as well as anticipating it

I hope that everyone had a great long easter weekend! I had to work Saturday but had a lovely time other than that just hanging out with the kids and Mike

Yesterday I took Wade to the Christchurch airport to catch his flight up to see Craig in Hamilton, it always freaks me out watching that plane take off with my babies on it… I know that logically that plane isn’t likely to crash…….. BUT!!!

When we got home we all went around to Mikes and helped him to attack his shrubs, Mike also cut out some of his scraggly, ugly trees that were there when he bought the house years ago… we are going to replace them with something else…. we just don’t know what yet

I haven’t had much stitching time, with the long weekend…. I think I must be the opposite of everyone else LOL, in fact I only have about an hour of a start on Watergarden…. I normally get lots more done than that!!!!

This week I am going to work on Butterfly – Day and hopefully get some progress in on that, its been awhile

OH NO!!!!!

I just pulled out everything for Winter Beauty Princess…. and my fabric isn’t big enough!!! Waaaahhhhhhhhh…………………………………. It only leaves me about 1 inch on the sides….. as soon as I opened up the pattern and looked at the stitch count I thought…….. oops…. so counted it up to see if I could stretch it out, but 1 inch just isn’t enough space………… so I’m goona have to fix my rotation…. hmmmmmm what can I change it to????

It won’t be a hardship to find something else to do on this fabric though, its so beautiful

Maybe a should start a Chatelaine slot and start on Watergarden instead? I have everything ready for it now that Linda was such a sweetie and gave me the fabbie for it

Have any of you stitched a Chatelaine?? Do you start from the centre for these or a top edge????

Yes I think I’ll get onto Watergarden…. gosh that was easy to change my mind wasn’t it LOL

the end of my L&L week so here is a photo update She is looking really good I think I am really surprised (still) at how fast this grows!

Next up is my Passione Riccamo slot, so I get another new start with Winter Beauty Princess…… can’t wait to start her! I will be stitching her on Countrystitch Kiwi illusions Twilight, but on a sparkle

I got my FOTM on Saturday… I was lucky and got a piece of the new colour….. Feijoa… its is gorgeous!! I Love it!! Would put a picture up for you but I forgot to take one…. so next time

Stitchnz might be doing a scissor fob exchange… it sounds like it will be great…. I have never done an exchange though and I must admit to being worried that I won’t do a good enough job of it… I will have to get started real soon…. do you normally wait to find out favourite colours etc??? Or just make a guess… or do something I like? (probably wouldn’t want to give it away LOL)

Yay!

I went straight around to see him after work and got a huge hug

He asked to go for a drive down to the beach where he then proceeded to ask me to marry him (bad pic below)

I, of course, said “YES!!!” LOL

We aren’t in a big hurry, we are gonna wait until next year….. all his family are really excited, and those of mine who I have been able to get hold of are too… we have had one person so far put a bit of a downer on it cause I have been married before, but we both believe that God is in this relationship, so I am just going to have to think of a way to be nice when people start talking like that……

Nic do you really think I need to finish some WIPS? Darn!!! LOL Not in a big hurry…. just trying to enable others LOL
