Well here she is again

February 22, 2006

after 110 hours. I couldn’t keep going… must be the fear of finishing… either that or I have a short attention span LOL But I am going to work on something else and then come back to her in the next slot.

Mike is lovely he is coming to visit most evenings and last night he bought around all the things to give my car an oil change, he drove it the other day and said he couldn’t live with seeing how many k’s past a service it was… LOL doesn’t worry me, but then I’m not a car person. I just drive it LOL

I am going to miss him so much when he goes to Australia, but I will just have to wait :(

Not sure which I should work on next… I have Butterfly – day, Celtic Noel, Mermaids of the Deep Blue or else my other new start which was going to be Spring Queen but will now be Winter Beauty Princess… what do you guys think? I will start Spring Queen when Scent of Old Roses is finished :)

Hope you are all well in blogging land. Anne are you alright after your horrid phone call?! That was not ver’ nice!

Scent of Old Roses – 110 hours

~~**Andie**~~

I’m really bad

February 14, 2006

at getting up late and going to bed even later. So…… today I managed to get up before 6am, yay :)

Why you ask? Well I am to tired at night to do a pilates workout and I can’t do it with the kids around anyway…. so now…. ouch my abs hurt :) Nah just joking but the workout was good, I really want to loose some weight and now I have motivation eh?! LOL

Scent of Old Roses is looking gorgeous… I am nearly up to her face, I have 4 hours left in my slot on her and I am really more and more and more :) tempted to keep on her until she is done……

Below is my Rose of Sharon progress picture…. Anne you are a bad influence LOL (not really) It didn’t take much arm twisting for me to leave her til next time did it? So there she is after the longest 9 hours and 15 minutes of stitching in my life! Hope fully things will look up for her next time :)

School work is going great! Kids are really enjoying it this term, so hopefully I can keep this up for next term and the one after… its great to feel like we are finally all settled and happy with it :)

Hope your day is full of surprises :)

Andie

p.s Anne I hope that you are feeling better!

The Rose of Sharon

February 9, 2006

is driving me bonkers!! LOL I have 45 minutes left to go to finish my slot, and then I can move on…. but I must admit to having put her aside tonight…. I will finish her slot tomorrow afternoon. The light isn’t that great in here I will have to organise a lamp or something, and with the gradual colour changes I have nothing much to say Here I AM without counting every flippen time! I also need to photocopy the pattern for next time, then I can scribble all over it :) Will post a pic after I finish my 10 hours :)

I put a few stitches into Scent of Old Roses tonight instead :) I still love her!!! Hopefully I will finish her this round or if not then next time *fingers crossed* I am toying with the idea of just stitching her until she is done :)

Just been talking to Linda and as part of my payment she is sending me Passione Riccamos Winter Beauty Princess!!!! I love that pattern!!! Can’t wait to get my fingers on it and drool :)

I am feeling physically better now, although having Charlie here is really starting to wear me down! I have a week to go, unless her Mum recovers quicker and she goes early *fingers crossed* again :)

I am really missing Mike! Can’t believe that I can miss someone this much, this quickly! Only 2 days and he will be home :-) yay

Well that is it from me :)

Talk to you all soon

Andie

Here it is :)

February 6, 2006

The Spice of life…. what do you think?

I quite enjoyed stitching this one… I think because it was all my creation…. been awhile since I did one :)

I have still been feeling really off today…. really cold and then flushed and really tired. If it wasn’t impossible I would think that I was pregnant LOL

I have gotten an hour of stitching on The Rose of Sharon done. I am not sure if the fabric works for her but it is what Tarissa wants her on so….. will post a picture when she is a bit more than a blob :)

I have to get Charlie ready for school tomorrow which is a really weird thought :) I have to think about lunch boxes and what to put in them and getting to school on time. I so enjoy not having that hassle although I imagine having the spare time would be fantastic too :)

Goodnight… sleep tight :)

Its getting late

February 4, 2006

and I am not feeling very well today. I’m so grateful for my mum who just took over dinner and the kids when I fell asleep on the couch this afternoon. Something I definitly don’t normally do as I can’t sleep through the kids. I just feel really yuck…. headachy and cold and really out of it, so maybe just a flu or something….

On the stitching side of things… I started on Love is…. tweaking as I went as I normally do and it is progressing well, only quit cause I couldn’t concentrate properly, will post a picture soon.

Sweet Dreams Everyone

I have been SO slack this year :)

February 3, 2006

Doesn’t bode well does it?!! LOL

Although I do have a lot in my defense :) To start with and most importantly….. Mike asked me out! We are just going out as friends at the moment and waiting to see how it goes…. *grins* although he is going to Australia for a week soon to find out about jobs and then he will be back for 4 weeks before possibly going over there till the end of the year so that he can earn enough to have his house paid off.

I have also been helping out our neighbour over the back a bit with her kids and things. In fact I have one of them here at the moment and when she goes home she would have been here for 8 days. She is really good but there is that little bit more work and when another child is added to the dynamics it always takes awhile for everyone to sort themselves out :)

I have also been trying to organize school work for the kids for this term. I have found some good educational c.d’s so we will be trying those and seeing how they go :)

Also I have spent a little time designing for Linda’s next freebie….. I will start stitching that soon, so you’ll get a preview :) That could be scary for you :)

Although I must also admit to a little time spent playing on the play station. I can hear you gasping in shock from here LOL

The Fat Mermaids are actually Voluptuous Mermaids from Jill Oxtens Cross Stitch and Beading Magazine…. can’t remember the issue off the top of my head but its in here somewhere LOL.

Anne I think I like them for the same reason….. actually they make me feel good about myself :) I also thought that fabric would be fantastic for Waiting for Ships…. alas after 3 hours she was just disappearing into it…. so would you believe I am stitching her on Lavender Dreams? And would you believe that she is looking great so far…. but I nearly chucked her to the back of the pile….. the only reason that I didn’t was for sentimental reasons. She is the reason that I started stitching again and fell in love all over again with cross-stitching…. with a vengance LOL

But all is not lost… the fabric looks fantastic for Spring Queen so I am going to stitch her on there :)

I have also started The Rose of Sharon for Tarissa’s 11th birthday…. finally LOL…. so I better finish something soon :) The Scent of Old Roses isn’t far from being done.

I have re-organized my rotation and I am going to stick to it too LOL I will spend 10 hours on each one, as before, but I am just going to list them and work on whichever one I want. But I have to go through the whole list before I can stitch on something a second time….. this should work for me…… LOL will try anyway, I thought that I better go back to it since I now have (well when I start Spring Queen I will have) 7 large WIP…… :) I’m bad….. but Nora is horrible…. especially with her latest release!

Nic… yes it is Linda from Countrystitch…… she is fantastic and I would highly reccommend her and her service and her fabric… but then I am biased as we have become good friends :)

Well… thats it from me…. I’ll catch ya later :)
