What!!!??? No stitching????!!

October 31, 2005

Yep…. thats right…. absolutly NONE!! So unusual! I was busy trying to package up trades so I didn’t get anything done this afternoon, and with this lovely warm evening the kids stayed up late and the boys are STILL doing the dishes. By the time they are finished it will be even later and then I will be way too tired!

But… on a good note… Uncle Vin came around and has my car battery charging up in the laundry….. He is a sweetie

Tarissa was in the shower tonight and the doors fell off and cracked and bent a bit… I am so tired of all the broken stuff here, in this house…. you would think for $200 a week the landlord would do something about this stuff… but he doesn’t and houses are so hard to get here! Well 4 bedroom ones anyway….. maybe we should look for something with 3…. I dunno…. I just put in a vege garden!!

Anyway… feeling a bit down tonight… I NEED my stitching for my sanity!! *waaaaahhhhhh*

This is it :)

Rudolf you’re sacked

The fabric is from Linda at Countrystitch for the next collaboration pack. My photo does NOT do it justice! It is beautiful……. I want some! *waaahhhh* LOL The picture I am stitching on it is the freebie that goes with the pack, I am not sure if it will be available to everyone else….. as I said the picture isn’t the best…. I’m not a photographer :) but this will give you the general idea :)

My car wouldn’t go this morning. Not even when it was jump started…. I think I need a new battery. I hope that is all as I can’t even afford a new battery…. oh well. I have been really good and I haven’t bought any stash for ages (well it feels like ages LOL) It helps that I have gotten fabrics for stitching and Meg bought me the pattern for Mermaids of the Deep Blue to stitch for her, alright I’ll be honest I have bought the occasional thread or the odd packet of beads :)

I found an interesting board Threads you might like to have a looksee :) They seem real nice over there.

Wade has his friend Chris over for the afternoon and Christian has gone to Daniels’, swap back tonight at church :) Nice bit of time out, although I don’t know whether Janet thinks so with Christian there LOL

and it is fine for me to post a picture of what I am doing :) So I will put one up tomorrow afternoon (after church) I am nearly half way done on the stitching so it shouldn’t take too long.

I had a pretty quiet day today, when the kids went to bed tonight I watched 2 movies, the joys of double vision at video ezy :) Miss Congeniality 2, which suxed, and The wedding Date which was lovely! I really liked it! It made me feel all mushy and girly LOL Definetly one to watch if you like the romantic type of movie :) Which I do.

Thats all my news for today… pretty boring I know :)

The fabric arrived today

October 28, 2005

for me to stitch the freebie design on :) It is very pretty, but I can’t show you until I have asked if it is okay…..

Gabrielle slept all night again last night, so heres hoping its a continuing trend :)

Thanks to Anne my blog now has pictures down the side :) Thanks for the link to the progress bars too :) I might have the opportunity to get them up tomorrow.

Today was a great day! Dawn had my 3 oldest children for the afternoon. I stitched for a little while on the fat mermaids and then Mum. Gabrielle and I went to town. We stopped at the post office and the stitching shop and the education shop… then we went to The Warehouse, where I was minding my own business in the garden section looked up to walk out the door and there he was…. back from Israel, and guess what…. I looked a mess LOL I had been out in the garden before we left and thought to myself well…. we won’t see anyone haha won’t think that again will I?!!

Tonight Wade went to youth group and Tarissa and Christian went to the light party, so it was just Mum, Gabrielle and I at home again!

Well I am off to get some lovely, blissful sleep :)

Another day

October 26, 2005

over!

Very tired today. Can’t understand why as for some reason Gabrielle has slept the whole night in her own bed for 2 nights now! Its really fantastic, must have been the right combination of bribery/threats LOL

I have got quite a bit stitched on Mermaids of the Deep Blue. I will post another progress picture soon. I am really enjoying stitching them. So much so that I still haven’t put them down yet!

School work is going really well. This system just seems to be really clicking with the kids. I have written to Craig to let him know what we are doing. Hopefully there will be no objections……

I got a letter from Pauline today, just to say Hi and ask how Gabrielle is. Megan rang yesterday morning too, so lots of family contact :)

Dawn asked me if I would like to do a kid trade off today :) We will have turns on a Friday afternoon having each others children. I think that this will work out really well…. I sure hope so anyway :) I think that my kids will love it, I just hope that Dawns’ kids will enjoy it here!

Hope everyone is well…. oh I keep forgetting… Thanks very much for your compliments on my tree Anne and Kiwijo!! I really appreciated you saying so! :) ))

My first official progress pic of

October 25, 2005

Mermaids of the Deep Blue

This is after around 20 hours. I am stitching on 32 count Belfast Custom dyed Ocean Sparkles by Country Stitch :) Linda is Fab :)

This is for Megan. I wasn’t sure if she would like the fabric as she really loves black for things but I just got the word this morning that she loves it so…. FULL STEAM AHEAD LOL

My new rotation (or is that a lack of rotation?) is really working for me, I have spent 20 hours and I normally only manage 10 a week! I ma not sick of it yet either but when I am I will either move onto Scent of Old Roses (most likely) or Celtic Noel (possible) it will depend on whether I am feeling selfish or not LOL. Although I will have to put this down soon as I have some stitching work arriving soon :) That will be fun anyway…. and some freebies for doing it *big huge grin*

Anyway….. school work… our new system is working well, although it is still the first day, the kdis LOVED it! What a relief!

Christian stressed me out last night saying that he wanted to go and live with Craig for a year now that he has been back for a year but he changed him mind again this morning. It gave me a few hours of feeling stink and trying not to let him know though.

Well thats it for now :)

Rotations!!

October 23, 2005

I hate my rotation at the moment! I normally stitch 10 hours on each project and work through my list, then start again at the beginning. I have Scent of Old Roses as my focus, so I stitch on her every other time. The problem is that I really get into stitching something and then I have to stop. So I am changing everything around.

I am going to unpick Waiting for Ships. Although I love the pattern and I love the fabric, they are really annoying me together! I looked on the pattern viewer and do you know what?! I really like her on pinky type fabrics. Very weird, when I first got her I thought a mermaid had to be on an ocean type colour, but now I have decided it doesn’t…… am I making sense?

Anyway, this is what I am going to do…..

I have started Mermaids of the Deep Blue, this is for my sister so I needed to get it started (excuses, excuses… okay I wanted to start it too LOL)

I have Scent ofOld Roses about half way done, Butterfly – day about half way done, Celtic Noel has about 10 hours done, Waiting for Ships I’m going to unpick, then I have some little things and a couple of UFO’s that I would like to get done.

So…. for awhile I am going to try a screaming rotation with no fixed time, for whichever piece I want to work on, but I will keep note of the time spent on each one, hopefully this will help me to work out how much time is the right amount of time…… I think I have lost the plot LOL

Well… I’ll let you know how it goes :)

Here is a Picture of my

Green Fat Mermaid

After 10 hours stitching, although I spent about half an hour unpicking about 2 hours worth of stitching where I was off to the side about 20 stitches. I do NOT know how that happened, but it is all fixed now, but it makes me SO mad at myself when that happens!

This is being stitched on a Pearl by CountryStitch. It is the remainder of the piece I stitched my needleroll on :)
