For my Favorite Sister :)

September 29, 2005

The Heir for Meg

I completed this in July (a late birthday present) for my little sister Megan (she of the dolls) we make things for each other from our hobbies/obsessions :) Megan sends me dolls and I stitch for her. I have more dolls than she has completed stitching though so I think that I am ahead on our love exchange :)
This was stitched on Countrystitch Kiwi Sparkles Soft Sky 32 count Belfast, the photo does not do it justice.

I found the Blogger Bot

September 29, 2005

But I don’t know if I am doing it right LOL :)

The rest of my day has gone really well, feel like I achieved some things today.

Tarissa and Christian hardly fought which was bliss!

Wade will be back on Sunday and I am really looking forward to it :) The kids are all sure to scrap as they re adjust to each other though so that won’t be much fun :(

Well I am going to go and stitch some more on Butterfly – Day and try to figure out this new program ;)

Cross stitching Questions……

September 29, 2005

Well I found a yahoo group with stitching questions for bloggers, so I thought that I might use that for my blog.. maybe something interesting for you to read :)

The question this week is……….

Have you ever just quit a project while in the midst of it? (We’re not referring to UFOs here, rather projects that you know that you’ll never work on again.) Why? What did you do with it – throw it out, give it away, put it away?

My answer is…….

Yes *cringe* I was working on Teresa Wentzlers Autumn Fairie and I decided I just didn’t like it….. I’d done quite a bit too… I hated her face…..so I sent it to the op shop with the pattern and the threads etc, so if someone wanted to finish her then they could :)

Mum, Tarissa, Christian, Gabrielle and I went out to clean the church today :) It only took about an hour, thought that it would take longer. Gabrielle didn’t help much though :) and Christian spent most of the time practicing his latest beat on the drums :) He is getting pretty good, pretty fast :)

I got an hour of stitching done whilst Gabrielle had her afternoon sleep, so butterfly – day is getting done whew! I was feeling a bit worried about it last night…. I guess cause its for Dad and he is always talking about dying, it feels kind of like… why bother with all this work and effort! I have now changed my attitude :) I want him to get as much enjoyment out of it while he can so I need to get a move on :) I’ll see where I am up to when I finish Scent of Old Roses and I might move Butterfly – day into my focus position :)

Anyway….. have a great rest of the day :)

Just Another Day

September 29, 2005

Well just another normal day in my house…… except I started a blog… this could be interesting???

I managed to convince Christian that it was his job to be gentle with his sisters yay :) finally might be getting somewhere with that.

I spent a bit more time on Butterfly – Day, but for some strange reason it is a real struggle to spend time on her???

I feel like my life is one big lonely time alone….. it just revolves around the kids, I am waiting for God to send me a “special” (read male) friend, but it hasn’t happened yet… will it ever? I sure pray so, I believe so, but I guess I am just impatient……

Mum went to housesit for Uncle Vin and Auntie Marg today, it is nice to have time away from her but it is even more lonely :(

Megan’s doll is doing well on Trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/auction_detail.asp?id=36684566 he is very beautiful :) She is so talented, and she taught herself! I am very proud of my little sis :)

Well I am off to bed now, once again to share it with my 2 year old daughter, sorry for the downer if you read this.
